Deana Sobel Lederman

Deana Sobel Lederman is a business law attorney with experience advising technology companies on corporate and intellectual property matters. Deana is successful at translating technical or otherwise complex information into clear writing. Her experience includes nondisclosure agreements, services agreements, and other contracts, as well as advising on legal issues involving patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

Prior to joining West Hill, Deana worked across the country and the Atlantic Ocean, including: in the Harvard Office of Technology Development; as a Contract Attorney for Google in New York City; as a Patent Litigation Attorney at Fish & Richardson, P.C. in San Diego; and as a Legal Intern at Ashurst LLP, in London.

Deana also has communications and strategic partnership experience working as an Associate at Cornerstone Reputation in Somerville, MA and as a Manager of Workflow Systems and Communications at the New York City Department of Education in New York.

Deana received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 2008, earning the Law & Technology Certificate. She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California in 2004.

Deana is also a talented artist and cartoonist, helping clients shape their public image through cartoons. You might have seen her work in Barron’s, The Hairpin, The Brooklyn Public Library, Gallery New World Stages in Manhattan, or in New York City Department of Education publications.
