Melissa Even Moore is an experienced business law attorney with extensive experience with commercial contracts and employment law matters. Melissa’s approach to counseling businesses of all varieties is to integrate the business model and concerns of her clients into the legal services she provides. She has significant experience working on behalf of high tech companies, successfully negotiating high dollar SaaS, OEM, and other service and licensing agreements with Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to joining West Hill Technology Counsel, Melissa negotiated commercial contracts at Avention, Inc., formerly OneSource. She held similar roles at Pentaho and Harvard Medical School. In these positions, Melissa worked closely with a variety of stakeholders, successfully integrating business and legal concerns for positive outcomes.
Melissa began her legal career in the Labor and Employment Department at Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault. There she counseled clients on a variety of employment matters, including drafting employee handbooks, employment policies and day to day issues with employees. She also was part of the litigation team, dealing with discrimination, non-compete and other employment related claims. Melissa continued her employment law practice in Phoenix, Arizona at Jones, Skelton and Hochuli.
In addition, Melissa served as in-house legal counsel to a K-12 charter school in Arizona, counseling the school on matters ranging from employment to student discipline to board governance, and everything in between.
Melissa received her Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law, as well as a Master’s in Counseling from Cambridge College and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Wheelock College. She is admitted to practice law before all state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
